LEAWOOD, KS—The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Foundation has welcomed five new members and elected officers to its Board of Trustees in 2025. These members will continue to guide the philanthropic priorities of the AAFP alongside existing board members and support programs that improve the health of all people and advance the practice of family medicine.
The new members:

Each of these individuals has made significant contributions to advancing research and education within our specialty, and they are strong supporters of the work being done by family physicians across the country,” said Board President Jay-Sheree Allen Akambase, MD, FAAFP. “We remain committed to elevating the work of AAFP members and inspiring the next generation of family physicians to be leaders and innovators in their communities and in research.”
