Vaccinations, including annual seasonal vaccinations, are a cornerstone of primary care. Influenza is associated with a significant disease burden, and CSL Seqirus, an AAFP Foundation Corporate Partner is “committed to working with family physicians to educate people on the importance of flu vaccination and the different flu vaccine options to support healthier communities and drive vaccination rates.”
CSL Seqirus takes a comprehensive approach to improving influenza vaccination rates —an important goal that’s necessary for healthy communities. The organization works with partners to provide toolkits and resources to providers and advocates, along with creating national awareness campaigns and advocacy trainings.
In an analysis of immunization rates over the past few seasons, the CDC has identified pediatric, pregnant, Black, American Indian/Alaska Native, and Hispanic populations as priorities for education and outreach on the importance of flu vaccination due to lower vaccination coverage amongst these groups. CSL Seqirus is committed to prioritizing immunization across all communities. As part of this commitment, the company shares the latest data and translates it transparently to the public through educational programs targeting both healthcare providers and consumers, as well as working with trusted community messengers.
We thank CSL Seqirus for their generous contributions, and we invite potential partners to learn more about the AAFP Foundation Partner Program and take the first step toward connecting with the family medicine community in innovative and meaningful ways. .
